Rubies Currency

Rubies are the main currency of the Keyfall network. Designed as a physical in-game currency, Rubies drive the entire player economy, power progression systems, and act as the standard bartering currency across all realms.

Physical Currency Storage

To save storage and inventory space, 9x Rubies can be crafted into 1x Ruby Block using any standard crafting table. Ruby Blocks can be uncrafted back into 9 individual Rubies at any time with no loss of value.

How to Obtain Rubies

Players can build their wealth through multiple active and passive methods:

Selling to Merchants

Gather raw materials and sell them directly to the profession merchants in the Midgarde Plaza. You can sell crops to the Farming Merchant, mob drops to the Mob Drops Merchant, and ores, logs, or animal products to their respective buyers.

Daily Quests

Complete rotating daily quests. These tasks offer steady Ruby payouts upon completion, providing a reliable source of daily income.

Ruby Utilities & Uses

Almost every major network mechanic utilizes Rubies as an essential component or payment:

Player Chest Shops

Keyfall's custom player shops plugin enforces Rubies and Ruby Blocks as the sole currency. All trade stalls on spawn island conduct business in physical Rubies (learn more on the Player Shops Wiki).

Consumables & Utility Items

Spend Rubies at the Consumable Merchant to buy custom status potions, repair kits, or dungeon loot vouchers at the loot voucher merchant.

Mob Card Systems

Unlocking card sockets, merging gear, inserting skill cards, and extracting them at the Card Blacksmiths require a flat Ruby service fee.

Equipment Refinement Fees

While Nullite is the primary refinement item, rolling for higher tiers requires a secondary fee paid in Rubies per attempt.

Decentralized Economy

Keyfall features no infinite admin shops where players can buy end-game items directly. Every transaction is player-to-player, meaning Ruby values are determined entirely by player supply, resource scarcity, and active demand.
