Refinement
Refinement is an advanced equipment modification system designed to elevate the combat and gathering experience. It introduces a high-risk, high-reward upgrade system for Weapons, Armor, and Tools.
How to Refine
To refine your equipment, visit the Refinery Blacksmith on Midgarde (Coordinates: X: -288.7, Y: 100.0, Z: 258.8).

Refinement Tiers & Odds
Equipment can be refined from Tier 1 up to Tier 10. Tiers 1 through 4 are completely safe. Starting at Tier 5, rolls carry the risk of failure, downgrades, or even shattering the item.

🏹 Bows
Bows receive Arrow Velocity scaling per tier and Draw Speed bonuses at milestone tiers.

Milestone Perks
Reaching high refinement tiers unlocks powerful passive abilities. If an item is shattered, these perks are disabled until the item is reconditioned.
Weapons
Tier 7: Giant Slayer - +15% Combat Damage Multiplier in PvP/PvE.
Tier 10: Deflection Shield - 15% chance to Parry & Reflect incoming damage.
Bows
Tier 5: Trueshot - Arrows fly in a perfectly straight line with no arc when the bow is drawn to 90% or higher. Gravity is completely negated on the projectile.
Tier 6: Full Auto - Hold down the bow to repeat-fire arrows automatically. Auto-fired arrows respect Infinity (no pickup) and consume durability (factoring in Unbreaking).
Tier 7: Tempest Arrow - Arrows emit a wind shockwave on impact, dealing area-of-effect knockback to nearby entities.
Tier 10: Apex Predator - Arrows deal 2× execution damage to targets below 35% HP.
Armor
Tier 7: Iron Wall - Permanent Resistance I Aura when equipped.
Tools
Tier 7: Telepathy - Auto-pickups block drops to inventory.
Tier 8: Resource Duplication I - 10% chance to duplicate mined resources.
Tier 9: Resource Duplication II - 15% chance to duplicate mined resources.
Tier 10: Speed Conduit - Permanent Haste II Aura when held.
The Shatter Mechanic
If a roll fails and hits the Break outcome, the item becomes Shattered. It cannot deal damage, offer defense, or break blocks efficiently. All stat boosts and milestone perks are disabled.
To Repair: Visit the Reconditioning Blacksmith NPC on Midgarde (Coordinates: X: -285.0, Y: 100.0, Z: 262.9). Place the item in the input slot and pay 1x Nullite Reconditioner to restore all stats and perks, leaving the item at its pre-shattered tier.
Global Refinement Boosts
MVP/Fallen ranked players can obtain rare Boost Scrolls that trigger server-wide events, drastically reducing the shatter chance for everyone. The reduction is split safely into “No Effect” and “Downgrade” chances.
- Level 1: 50% relative break reduction.
- Level 2: 75% relative break reduction.
- Level 3+: 100% relative break reduction (Complete Immunity).
